About me
My name is Sarah O’Reilly. I am a registered midwife, trained hypnobirthing instructor, and perinatal emotional health & wellbeing practitioner based in Didsbury, Manchester.
I have worked in both public and private sectors, providing antenatal and postnatal care across a range of settings. Advocating for women has always been at the heart of my practice, and I strive to support and champion you throughout your pregnancy journey with empathy, consistency, and expertise.
Over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for supporting women affected by birth trauma, anxiety, and perinatal mental health conditions such as OCD and depression. These experiences are often overlooked in a busy, overstretched maternity system — leaving many women feeling unseen, unheard, and under-supported at a time they need care the most.
I’ve had the privilege of working with many families and have witnessed the profound impact that individualised, emotionally-aware care can have on both parent and baby. This recognition sparked a desire to work autonomously — giving me the freedom to offer truly holistic, trauma-informed support tailored to each woman’s story.
I relish the opportunity to walk alongside you by:
Supporting you through the antenatal period with clarity and compassion, especially if you feel anxious or overwhelmed by conflicting information.
Creating personalised postnatal care plans, with extended and frequent home visits that prioritise emotional as well as physical recovery.
Offering a safe, non-judgemental space to explore fears, past experiences, or worries about birth and motherhood.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, recovering from a previous birth, or simply want consistent, relationship-based care — I aim to be a calm, supportive presence throughout your journey.
I look forward to working with you and walking alongside you through this life-changing time.
